Rebecca JohnsonPA-C- Physician Assistant
Rebecca Johnson is a certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedics. She completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Butler University in Indianapolis and then earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. She holds two board certifications with the National Commission of Physician Assistants as a physician assistant as well as a specialty certifications in orthopedic surgery.

She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants & New York State Society of Physician Assistants.

Jason D’AmelioMedical Team Athletic Trainer
Jason D’Amelio, has over 20 years working in the field of sports medicine/athletic training. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Athletic Training from William Paterson University and went on to earn his Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine from Michigan State University. He is a Board Certified & Licensed Athletic Trainer, Functional Movement Specialist FRC© & an Active Release Technique ART© Practitioner. He joined Dr. Allen’s staff at the Hospital for Special Surgery after running a successful private sports rehabilitation and functional training business where he worked with a variety of athletes ranging from high school to professional sports.

Jason implements a training philosophy that combines both functional training & corrective exercise methods to create a more athletically balanced & efficient movement system. He has previously worked with teams in the NFL (New York Giants & Cleveland Browns, NFL Europe Rhein Fire), with Major League Baseball (New York Yankees organization), the NCAA (Michigan State, Columbia & St John’s University), the NASL New York Cosmos soccer club and independently with athletes from the ATP, MLS, FIFA & United States Olympians. His career working with professional athletes has taken him to Cuba, Spain, Brazil, and Australia. He is long standing member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certifications.

Cesille GentleOffice Manager
Cesille joined Dr. Allen’s team in 2007. She grew up in Spanish Harlem, New York, but spent much time in Belize, Central America. As the Office Manager, she provides comprehensive administrative support and direction to Dr. Allen’s practice. She oversees day-to-day services and contributes to an environment of clinical excellence. Her duties entail supervising staff, arranging meetings, interviews, and conferences, developing processes to maximize office resources and equipment and anticipate the needs of our patients and Dr. Allen as they arise.
Steven JamesPatient Care Coordinator
Steven James schedules patient appointments for Dr. Answorth Allen’s office. Appointments are usually booked within 14 days of the request. This includes the West side, Westchester, and the Omni Long Island location. Our patients are encouraged to bring all images including MRIs and x-rays to the appointment.

Mr. James assists with the checkout process after the orthopedic consultation with Dr. Allen is completed. This includes all imaging appointments and authorizations for (MRI’s, Ultrasounds, CT Scans etc), assisting patients with scheduling physical therapy appointments, on and off campus, and initiating prescriptions for viscosupplementation injections.

Constantine F. Gulmatico, PA-CPhysician Assistant
Constantine is a certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physician Assistant Studies at St. John’s University in Queens, New York, and holds a board certification with the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). Constantine aims to help those with injuries reach their full recovery and return to normal activities, even when experiencing setbacks. His goal is to help patients overcome the physical and psychological barriers and achieve better musculoskeletal health.
